Make Healing Bone Broth

Bone Broth is a magical healer for intestinal damage such as “Leaky Gut”, Chrons, Colitis, Diverticutius, Viruses, Yeast Overgrowth, SIBO, and much more. The collagen in bone broth reduces inflammation and rebuilds intestinal lining and barrier. It is also easily digested for people with these conditions. Aiding to these digestive issues will also support metabolism, weight-loss and cell production.

Bone Broth includes important Minerals and Amino Acids to protect against inflammation and autoimmune diseases by reducing oxidative stress.

It has the following Amino Acids: Glutamine, Arginine, Glycine, Glutamate, GABA and Proline. All of these Amino acids are important Antioxidants to support mental health, healthy heart, muscles growth, connective tissues, protects joints, immune system and wound healing. These amino acids are especially important for people with Arthritis, osteoarthritis, RA, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, liver disease, cystic fibrosis, sickle cell anemia, cancer, heart attack, stroke, and diabetes. Key minerals in bone broth include, Calcium, Manganese, Phosphorus, Potassium, Magnesium, Copper, Iron, Sodium and Zinc which makes bone broth a powerful antioxidant and immune-booster!

Here is my EASY BONE BROTH RECIPE:

First start with selecting at least 3-4 Beef, Turkey or Chicken joints and/or marrows bones. All have their own health benefits! The broth can be made in a pressure cooker or stove top.

If using Beef Bones, they first need to be roasted as this will bring out the flavor and natural nutrients. Once you have bones roast bones in oven at 350ºF for 15-20mins.

Next bring a pot of water to boil and add:

  • 1 whole onion or leeks

  • 2 celery stocks

  • 2 large carrots

  • Handful of parsley

  • clove of garlic is optional

  • 2 tbsp of sea salt

  • 1 bay leaf (optional)

After 10mins of boiling the pot above, add bones to pot and 1 tbsp of Apple Cider Vinegar - this will allow more collagen to produce.

Let cook minimum of 4hrs and up to 24hrs on low simmer. The longer it cooks the more Glutamine it produces. If you are sensitive to Glutamine, then only cook for 4hrs.

Let cool for 20mins once complete.

Once Bone broth is complete you can store in ice cube container so that it is easy accessible to add to rice, quinoa or vegetables - this is especially handy for the little ones so you can add to their meals daily! I love adding it into our pasta, rice or vegetables for extra nutrients!
